About the job

As aleno grows, we seek a motivated Sales Assistant to support our sales team in expanding our market presence and driving revenue growth within the hospitality industry. 

As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting with various sales activities, from lead generation and qualification to customer relationship management. You'll become part of the core sales team, which consists of four team members. You will report to the VP of Sales.

Work location: this is a hybrid position, split between home office and on-site in Berlin or Munich.

What you will be doing

  • Assist the sales team in identifying and qualifying potential leads within the hospitality sector.

  • Conduct market research to gather insights into industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.

  • Manage and maintain the CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of leads, contacts, and interactions.

  • Support the sales team in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and contract documents.

  • Assist in scheduling meetings, demos, and follow-up activities with prospective clients.

  • Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and assisting with any sales-related queries.

  • Work closely with the sales team to track sales performance metrics and prepare reports for management review.

  • Continuously strive to improve sales processes and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the sales function.

What you bring along

  • Previous experience in a sales support or administrative role, preferably within the SaaS or hospitality industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (Hubspot) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and colleagues effectively.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a passion for driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

  • Fluency in German and English; additional language skills (e.g., French) would be advantageous.

  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry and an understanding of restaurant and hotel operations would be beneficial.
