Otherwise, we process your Personal Data based on our legitimate interests, if necessary Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, or possibly based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR if we process your Personal Data to fulfill a contract.


III. Provision of the Website and Creation of Log Files

Each time our Website is accessed, our system automatically collects data and information from your computer system. The following data is collected:

• The operating system you are using;

• The Internet service provider you are using;

• The IP address used by your system;

• Date and time of your access;

V. Newsletter Registration

On our website, it is possible to subscribe to a free newsletter with information about our products and promotions, such as competitions or discount campaigns, as well as review requests. When registering for the newsletter, the following Personal Data from the input form is transmitted to us:

• Email address;

• First and last name.

The collection of your email address serves to deliver the newsletter. The other Personal Data is collected to personalize the newsletter and to prevent misuse of the services or the email address used. The Personal Data you provide will only be used to send the newsletter and will be stored as long as the newsletter subscription is active.

Your consent to the processing of your Personal Data is obtained as part of the registration process, if necessary in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. The consent is based on the so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after registration you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that no one can register with someone else's email address. Newsletter registrations are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process in accordance with legal requirements. This includes storing the registration and confirmation time as well as the IP address used by your system.

The newsletter can be unsubscribed at any time. For this purpose, there is a corresponding link in each newsletter. Your consent to the processing of your Personal Data will be automatically revoked in the event of cancellation.

The newsletters are sent using the newsletter tool Mailchimp. The data entered in the input form when registering for the newsletter can be stored on servers in the USA. The Rocket Science Group uses this information to send and evaluate newsletters on our behalf. Furthermore, according to its own information, The Rocket Science Group can use this data to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. for technical optimization of sending and displaying newsletters or to determine which countries the recipients come from. However, The Rocket Science Group does not use the data to contact you directly, nor does it pass it on to third parties.

If you subscribe to the newsletter, you also consent to processing that may be carried out by Mailchimp or The Rocket Science Group. Please note that they carry out this data processing in the role of independent controller.


VI. Contact Form and Email Contact

Our Website has a contact form that can be used for electronic contact. If you use this function, the following Personal Data from the input form is transmitted to us and processed for contacting you or processing your request communicated via the form, including to prevent misuse when using the forms:

In this case, in addition to your email address, all Personal Data transmitted with the email will be processed and stored. The data is not passed on to third parties, nor is there automatic registration for our newsletter. The Personal Data transmitted to us from the input form will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. This is the case at the latest after ten years, unless we are bound by longer retention obligations by law or contract. The deletion of Personal Data can also be automated.

If we collect Personal Data directly from you or receive it directly from our partners in the context of trade fairs or similar events, we process your contact data, such as:

VIII. Disclosure and Data Transfers Abroad

We disclose your Personal Data to recipients if we engage them to provide our services (e.g. IT providers, hosting providers, etc.).

We primarily process and store Personal Data in Switzerland. However, in relation to the use of our analysis tools, your Personal Data may also be transferred to recipients outside of Switzerland or the European Economic Area (EEA).

If a recipient is located in a country without adequate data protection, we contractually agree with the recipient to comply with an adequate level of data protection, for example by concluding the Standard Contractual Clauses issued and approved by the European Commission, available at: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dec_impl/2021/914/oj?, including the necessary additions for Switzerland. 1. Use of Web Analysis Tools

We use various web analysis tools to better understand the behavior of our users and to align our offering with the needs of our users. 1.1 Web Analysis by Google Analytics

Our Website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics, which is offered by Google Inc. based in the USA ("**Google**"). We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google Ireland, whereby Google Ireland undertakes, according to its own information, to implement appropriate guarantees for data protection-compliant data transmission when engaging Google.

The personal data collected by Google Ireland is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We have activated the "anonymizeIP" function ("**shortening**") on this Website and deactivated functionalities such as "data sharing" or "signals". Through shortening, your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA, and only in exceptional cases is it transmitted to the USA. According to Google, the transmitted IP address will not be linked to any other Personal Data. Should this nevertheless happen, Google does so in the role of an independent data controller in accordance with its own data protection regulations. 1.2 Web Analysis by Hotjar

We use functions of the web analysis service Hotjar on our Website, which is offered by Hotjar Ltd based in Malta ("**Hotjar Ltd**"). We have concluded a data processing agreement with Hotjar Ltd. Hotjar Ltd stores the collected Personal Data in a pseudonymized user profile. The information is not used by Hotjar Ltd or by us to identify individual users or merged with other data about individual users.

2. Use of Google Tag Manager

We use the tool "**Google Tag Manager**" on our Website, which is provided by Google. The Google Tag Manager allows website tags to be managed via an interface. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google Ireland, whereby Google Ireland undertakes, according to its own information, to implement appropriate guarantees for data protection-compliant data transmission when engaging Google. The Google Tag Manager does not collect Personal Data, but ensures the triggering of other tags, which in turn may collect data under certain circumstances. The Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation has been made at domain or cookie level, it remains in effect for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.


3. Personalized Marketing through Facebook Custom Audiences

We use the marketing function "**Custom Audiences**" of Facebook Inc., a company of Meta Inc. based in the USA ("**Facebook**") on our Website, whereby according to Meta's own information, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland, is our contractual partner. In this role, according to Meta's own information, data transfers to the USA can also occur. To use the Custom Audiences function, we have integrated the so-called Facebook pixel into our Website. The Facebook pixel is a piece of code that communicates with Facebook and allows us to optimize our advertising campaigns.

With the help of the Facebook pixel, Facebook is able to identify visitors to our online offering as a target group for displaying advertisements ("**Facebook Ads**"). We therefore use the Facebook pixel to display our Facebook Ads to Facebook users who have shown an interest in our offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products that are determined based on the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook. With the help of the Facebook pixel, we can also track the effectiveness of our Facebook Ads for statistical purposes by seeing whether users were redirected to our Website after clicking on a Facebook Ad ("**Conversion**").

The Facebook pixel is directly integrated by Facebook when our websites are accessed and can store a cookie on your device if you have consented to the setting of marketing cookies. If you then log in to Facebook or visit Facebook while logged in, your visit to our online offering will be noted in your Facebook profile. The data collected about you is anonymous to us, i.e. it does not allow us to draw conclusions about the identity of users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook, so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and can be used by Facebook for its own market research and advertising purposes. If we should transmit data to Facebook for matching purposes, it will be encrypted locally in the browser and only then sent to Facebook via a secure connection. This is done solely for the purpose of matching with the data encrypted by Facebook.

4. Online Marketing through HubSpot

We use the inbound marketing tool HubSpot on our Website, which is offered by HubSpot Inc. based in the USA ("**HubSpot Inc**"). We have concluded a data processing agreement with HubSpot Inc., whereby according to HubSpot's own information, HubSpot Ireland Limited, HubSpot House, One Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland, acts as our contractual partner.

HubSpot uses web beacons and cookies that help us analyze your use of this Website. This means that when you make contact, request a quote, register for an event or submit another form integrated from HubSpot, your activities on this Website are assigned to your cookie, thereby enabling a more in-depth analysis of your website usage (e.g. pages visited, date and time of calls, forms filled out, documents downloaded). In addition, for some forms, we provide you with requested digital resources (e.g. catalogs) by email. In this way, we can better tailor the user experience on this Website and external communication to your needs.

The Personal Data collected through the use of HubSpot is stored on servers of HubSpot Inc. in the USA. We can use it to contact visitors to our Website and to determine which services of our company are of interest to you. 5. Use of SalesViewer Technology

On this website, data is collected and stored for marketing, market research and optimization purposes using the SalesViewer technology of SalesViewer GmbH on the basis of legitimate interests of the website operator (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

For this purpose, a javascript-based code is used that serves to collect company-related data and the corresponding use. The data collected with this technology is encrypted via a non-reversible one-way function (so-called hashing). The data is immediately pseudonymized and is not used to personally identify visitors to this website.

The data stored within the scope of SalesViewer will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required for their intended purpose and there are no legal retention obligations preventing deletion.

6. Online Advertising through Google Ads

We use the advertising platform Google Ads, which is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google Ads enables us to place advertisements in Google Search, on partner websites and in other Google services and to measure their success.


6.1 Conversion Tracking

To measure the effectiveness of our Google Ads campaigns, we use Google Ads conversion tracking. When you click on one of our Google ads, a cookie (the so-called "conversion cookie") is stored on your device. This cookie does not contain any personal data that would identify you, but serves exclusively to assign conversions to the respective advertising campaigns.

In addition, when you click on an ad, a unique click identifier (GCLID) is transmitted and stored in the URL. This enables us to assign website activities to specific Google Ads clicks.

The following data is collected:

  • Google Click ID (GCLID)
  • Time of click
  • IP address (shortened)
  • Information about the clicked ad
  • Conversion events on our Website (e.g. form submissions, booking requests)

The conversion cookies lose their validity after 90 days and are not used for personal identification. The information obtained via the conversion cookie serves to create conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking.


6.2 Enhanced Conversions

We use the "Enhanced Conversions" function of Google Ads to improve the accuracy of our conversion measurement. First-party data (customer data) that you provide to us via forms on our Website is transmitted to Google in a hashed (SHA-256 encrypted) format.

The following data may be transmitted:

  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • First and last name
  • Postal address

This data is automatically captured via our Google tag and sent to Google in encrypted form, where it is matched with Google accounts to assign conversions, even when cookie-based assignment is not possible.


6.3 Offline Conversions

In addition, we transmit qualified leads from our CRM system (HubSpot) to Google Ads to report offline conversions. This enables us to measure conversions that do not take place directly on the Website (e.g. telephone bookings, contract conclusions). Personal data such as email addresses, telephone numbers and names are transmitted to Google in hashed form.

Prerequisite: We only transmit data from persons who have given us their consent to data processing for marketing purposes.


6.4 Google Ads Remarketing

We use Google Ads Remarketing to display targeted advertisements to visitors to our Website on other websites in the Google Display Network and on Google search results pages. Google uses cookies to record user behavior on our Website. Based on your browsing behavior, we can then display interest-based advertising to you.

The information collected via cookies about your use of this Website (including your IP address) is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.


6.5 Legal Basis

The processing is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, which you can give via our consent management tool. Without your consent, we do not set marketing cookies and do not transmit any personal data to Google Ads.


6.6 Data Transfer to Third Countries

The collected data may be stored on servers of Google LLC in the USA. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google Ireland Limited. Google Ireland Limited undertakes, according to its own information, to implement appropriate guarantees for data protection-compliant data transmission when engaging Google LLC, in particular through the use of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.


6.7 Storage Duration

Conversion cookies are automatically deleted after 90 days. The transmitted hashed data for enhanced conversions is stored by Google in accordance with their retention policies, usually for the duration of conversion measurement and subsequent reporting.


6.8 Right to Object and Delete

You can object to the processing of your data for Google Ads purposes at any time:

7. Online Advertising via Microsoft Advertising (Microsoft Ads)

We use the advertising platform Microsoft Advertising (Microsoft Ads), provided by Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA (“Microsoft”). Microsoft Ads enables us to place ads in Microsoft Search (e.g. Bing) and within the Microsoft Advertising network and to measure the success of our advertising campaigns.

7.1 Conversion Tracking (UET)

To measure the effectiveness of our Microsoft Ads campaigns, we use Microsoft Advertising conversion tracking via “Universal Event Tracking” (“UET”). When you click on one of our Microsoft ads, Microsoft may store a cookie or similar technology on your device. This technology is used solely to attribute conversions to the relevant advertising campaigns.

The following data may be collected:

  • Time of click / interactions
  • IP address (generally processed in truncated and/or pseudonymised form)
  • Information about the clicked ad
  • Device and browser information
  • Conversion events on our website (e.g. form submissions, booking requests)

 

7.2 Enhanced Conversions

We use the “Enhanced Conversions” feature of Microsoft Advertising to improve the accuracy of our conversion measurement. In this context, first-party data (customer data) that you provide to us via forms on our website may be transmitted to Microsoft in a hashed (cryptographically encrypted) format.

The following data may be transmitted:

  • Email address
  • Phone number

Before transmission, the data is encrypted and may be matched by Microsoft with existing data (e.g. Microsoft accounts) to attribute conversions, even when cookie-based attribution is not possible. We do not directly identify you through this process.

7.3 Server-Side Conversion Tracking (UET Conversion API)

In addition, conversion data may also be transmitted server-side via the so-called “UET Conversion API”. In this case, relevant event data (e.g. completion of a form or a booking request) is transmitted directly from our server to Microsoft. This may also occur if cookies are blocked or purely browser-based measurement is not possible.

In the context of server-side tracking, event data (e.g. event/conversion information, timestamps, technical information) and—where required and provided by you—hashed contact details (e.g. email address or phone number) may be processed and transmitted.

7.4 Microsoft Ads Remarketing

We use Microsoft Ads remarketing to show targeted ads to visitors of our website within the Microsoft Advertising network. For this purpose, Microsoft uses cookies or similar technologies to record your usage behaviour on our website. Based on your visit behaviour, we may then show you interest-based advertising.

7.5 Legal Basis

Processing is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you can provide via our consent management tool. Without your consent, we do not set marketing cookies and do not transmit personal data to Microsoft Ads.

7.6 Data Transfers to Third Countries

The collected data may be stored on Microsoft servers in the USA and/or transferred to the USA. Where required, appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) are used for transfers to third countries.

7.7 Storage Period

The lifetime of Microsoft Ads cookies or similar technologies is limited. Hashed data used for enhanced conversions is stored by Microsoft in accordance with its retention policies, generally for the duration of conversion measurement and subsequent reporting.

7.8 Right to Object / Deletion

You can withdraw your consent or object to processing for Microsoft Ads purposes at any time:

IX. Automated Decision-Making Including Profiling

We partially process your Personal Data automatically with the aim of evaluating certain personal aspects (profiling). We use profiling in particular to inform and advise you about products in a targeted manner. In doing so, we use evaluation tools that enable us to communicate and advertise in a needs-based manner, including market and opinion research.

For the establishment and execution of the business relationship and also otherwise, we generally do not use fully automated decision-making. Should we use such procedures in individual cases, we will inform you about this separately if this is required by law and inform you about the associated rights.

Depending on the applicable data protection regulations, we may restrict or refuse the right you have asserted, about which we will inform you separately if you assert a corresponding right. If you are of the opinion that the processing of account data, user data and business data concerning you violates the law, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding the processing of your Personal Data by us. We take appropriate technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, access, alteration or distribution of your data by unauthorized persons. Despite regular checks, complete protection against all dangers is not possible and your Personal Data is not fully protected against unauthorized attacks or access.
